Klink & klank was a group project I did alongside 9 other students. In this group, I was one of 3 programmers. And handled most of the actual game logic. Making the initial prototype, and main gameloop. Besides 3 programmers, we also had 3 designers, 3 artists, and a producer.
This assignment was meant to emulate a real work environment. And taught me alot of lessons, and told me what to expect when working together. Overall it was a really good experience and I enjoyed it throughly.
Client brief: The client we worked for was called viro. A non profit organisation; that takes care of people with a mental disability, or psychological vulnerability. This posed alot of potential problems. As we had to make sure that the game was accesible for them. There were a lot of limitations we had to follow. One example of this is that they don't do well with text. So we have 0 text in our game (name aside)
UML of the gamescene, my main responsibility
To the left you can see the UML of our gamescene. Although I helped with other tasks as well. This was where I did most of my work.
Although not necessary for the assignment. I wanted to challenge myself with creating a nicely formatted structure. Using clean code always. And following the c# coding conventions. I feel like I managed to do this fairly well.
Other tasks I managed include: screen transitions. the difficulty selection scene, the main scene logic, and more
